Globe-Trotter Makes Super Exclusive Travel Case for FujiFilm

Posted on 23 March 2012

If you’re a serious photographer and have more money than you can spend, then perhaps you can be one of the 12 people in the world who can add FujiFilm and Globe-Trotter’s latest collaboration- to your collection – the super-exclusive Fujifilm X-Pro1 Case.

Made for FujiFilm’s high-end X-Pro1 camera, only 12 of these traveling cases will be made and sold at an eye-popping £5,695 each. You can bet that at the price, you’ll feel like putting the case inside a case to prevent it from getting scratched.

So what does an almost £6000 camera case look like?

Looks worth it to you?

If not, keep in mind that the whole package already comes with a Fuji X-Pro 1 camera, which in itself will already cost you £1,200. It also comes with 3 lenses (18mm, 35mm and 60mm camera lenses), a flash, and filters. The suitcase itself is no pushover either, made of super hardy vulcanized fibreboard, tan leather trim, and brass rivets and locks. To be distributed exclusively by Harrods, the suitcases will also be sporting a “Harrods Exclusively” embossed leather tag.

According to Creative Director of Globe-Trotter Gary Bott the company is very excited about this joint venture, “When approached by Fujifilm to produce a bespoke limited edition case for the X-Pro1, exclusively for Harrods, we were very excited. The combination of a traditional suitcase with the X-Pro1 camera, a piece of modern technology at its finest, is something new and exciting for our heritage brand.”
